UK EV Market Growth in 2024
According to the latest figures from the SMMT, in 2024, EVs accounted for an impressive 19.6% of all new car sales, a notable increase from 16.5% in 2023. This surge in demand highlights the increasing confidence in EV technology, infrastructure, and affordability.
Tesla Dominates the UK EV Market
The Tesla Model Y continues to be a firm favourite with British drivers, topping the table for the third consecutive year. Over 32,000 units were sold in the UK in 2024.
The Audi Q4 e-tron finished in second place with over 17,00 units, just beating Tesla’s Model 3, which sold 17,425 units.
The latest figures from the SMMT demonstrate Tesla’s dominance within the UK market, with the manufacturer accounting for 33% of the total units sold for the top 10 best-selling electric vehicles
