‘Integrated SolarCharge’ offers homeowners the ability to utilise surplus solar energy

Who are Sync Energy:
Sync Energy was founded in 2015 and was one of the first-to-market EV charging companies, later acquired by Luceco Group in 2022, a specialist in market-leading design and manufacture of electrical products.

We are proud to have further developed the technology, releasing our updated Wall Charger 2 range in 2023. This range incorporates a large set of energy-efficient charging options. Our latest feature ‘Integrated SolarCharge’ offers homeowners the ability to utilise surplus solar energy to charge their EV as a green alternative to grid supplied electricity or mixed sourced electricity from the grid, saving the homeowner money.

The chargers come at an affordable price point and are available in a range of interchangeable coloured faceplates so users can change the colour to match their car whenever they choose.

Wall Charger 2:
Packed with smart technology and supported with an intuitive, easy-to-use Smartphone app, Wall Charger 2 charging stations are the perfect solution for new build homes. Available from over 200+ stockists in the UK, Sync Energy also has a registered installer-base of over 2000 and growing. In addition to the 7.4kW Single Phase charger, available in either socketed or tethered, we also offer a 22kW commercial Three Phase socketed version.

Industry Guidance:
New build developments in the UK are required to include electric vehicle (EV) charging points. This mandate from the UK government applies to new residential and commercial buildings and includes those undergoing large-scale renovations. The regulations stipulate that new homes, including those created through the redevelopment of existing buildings, as well as new non-residential buildings, must have EV charging infrastructure. This initiative is part of the UK's broader efforts to reduce carbon emissions and encourage the adoption of electric vehicles, aligning with its goal to cease the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2035.
