Summary
The Government has extended the Workplace Charging Scheme and the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant for an additional year.
The new deadline for both grant schemes is March 2026.
This extension ensures ongoing support for the installation of chargepoints at flats, rental properties, schools, offices, and workplaces, thereby expanding the national charging network.
The Government announced that more than 1,400 electric vehicle charging sockets have been installed at UK schools and colleges so far.
